YOU’RE CLOSER THAN YOU THINK
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: MONDAY, 5 JULY 2021
The true essence of life is fulfilling purpose. So, when life is lived without purpose, such life finds no expression. This simple but inevitable fact sets our desire to attain breakthrough on course, and the mission for purpose fulfilment ensued. Now the quest is on, but again, too often we get worried on when will it happen. So, what do we do when our situation looks impossible and we still haven’t achieved our purpose? The answer is “wait and follow the plan”.
SCRIPTURE: For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11) NIV
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: You’re closer to your purpose, but only if you can wait and follow the plan.
Beloved, when God gives you a purpose, He is going to give you a plan, so while outcome is God’s responsibility, obedience to His plan is yours. Every purpose has a set time. The time is anchored to the plan. That’s to say, the sooner we obediently follow and complete the plan, the sooner we achieve our purpose. We may be trusting God for one thing or another; in spite of our faith and obedience, we might not achieve our goals, until we do the needful.
So, I counsel you, you’re closer to your purpose than you think, but first you need to understand the principle of waiting; God has purpose in your wait so don’t miss out on what He is doing in your life. Secondly, don’t focus on your problem, instead spend time praising God and turn your focus from your problems to Him. Stay Lifted!
NOTE THIS: You’re closer to your purpose, but only if you can wait and follow the plan.
RESPONSIBILITY: Be patient, wait and follow God’s plan for your purpose.
PRAYER: O LORD, give me the grace to wait and follow your plans for my purpose, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD: May God help you, give you the grace to wait and follow His plans for your purpose, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
