YOU ARE WORK IN PROGRESS
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL
DATE: THURSDAY 11 FEBRUARY 2021
We all pray to lead a great life, attain new dimensions in destiny and accomplish our dreams. And we have God who answers prayers, who loves us and wants the best for us. So, in the course of fulfilling destinies, God sometimes employs harder approach to do a work in us. A work that purifies and refines us, chisels and plyers us in order to bring out the best in us and unleash us to generations to do exploits.
The scripture says in Isaiah 64:8, “He is the Potter, we are the clay”, and when God is spinning us around on that Potter’s wheel and he comes across a lump of impatience, of pride, of jealousy, of anger he’ll put us in a situation to bring those impurities to light.
SCRIPTURE:
But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand, (Isaiah 64:8) KJV
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY:
God is more interested in changing us than He is in changing our circumstances.
Nothing randomly happens. Every challenge you face, every person that irritates you, every time you’re tempted to worry, that’s an opportunity for you to be refined. Sometimes we’re trying to pray away the very thing that God wants to use to change us. That person that irritates you, God can use them like sandpaper to rub the rough edges off of you.
That neighbor that’s hard to get along with, God can use them to teach you how to be patient, kind, understanding. Know that, God will never hand over the development of that great future He has in stock for, until He first of all built you into a strong pillar. He will adapt various means to form you, He will continue to refine you until you become a strong force to reckon with in the midst of challenges.
Beloved, when you go through a disappointment, an unfair situation, though we don’t like it. I counsel you, don’t be discouraged. Keep up the faith, stay through it, God is working for us, He is working out your greatness. But always remember that, “You are work in progress”. Stay Lifted!
NOTE THIS:
God is more interested in changing us than He is in changing our circumstances.
RESPONSIBILITY:
Humble yourself in submission to God, ask Him to mold you into perfection.
PRAYER:
O LORD, I submit myself to You. Break and remold me and give me the grace to remain pliable and workable, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD:
May you find the grace to remain workable, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
