YOU AND YOUR DESTINY

TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org

DATE: FRIDAY, 13 AUGUST 2021

We always think everything is luck and we can gamble through life. We feel we can just wake up one day, create or figure out a path of living, and follow it hoping to survive through it. No, it doesn’t work that way. There is this thing called destiny; it is God’s unique purpose, His special plan for our life (Jer 11:29). Our destiny is our assignment on earth; in simple terms, it is the original plan of God for us. So, whatever we do in life, and hoping to succeed in it, must be what we were destined to do.

SCRIPTURE: For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10) ESV

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Your destiny is not what you want to do, it’s what God has predetermined for you to do. Trying to avert it, is disastrous. Beloved, your destiny is what God had in mind before He created you and asked you to come into this world (Jer. 1:5). And everything about you is tied to your destiny. All of them, not just one. And until you begin to unleash your destiny, you may not have access to them. The longer you wait, the longer it takes for you to accomplish them.

This is where many people get it wrong. Your destiny is an unfolding of who you really are. You don’t create your destiny; you discover it; for God has predetermined it just for you. You don’t go into a thing simply because people are doing it, and it is working for them. It may not work for you because it’s not meant for you. In fact, the ignorant of this circumstance has caused many their destinies. But until you begin to do that which you were created to do, struggle is inevitable. Stay Lifted!

NOTE THIS: Your destiny is not what you want to do, it’s what God has predetermined for you to do. Trying to avert it, is disastrous.

RESPONSIBILITY: Go to God in prayer, enquire of Him your destiny. If sincerely where you are is not where you ought to be, stop and relocate to your destiny.

PRAYER: O LORD, help me to discover my destiny. If I am in the wrong purpose, cause me to stop and relocate me to my destiny, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)

PROPHETIC WORD: As you discover your destiny, may God’s unfailing grace abide with you, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!

BIBLE TEXTS: Eph 2:10, Jer 1:5
