Being in Christ is never an option, but a necessity if we want to lead a great life that has eternal significance. It’s true to say that there’s a version of God’s undiluted grace, and favor that is directly correlated to those who abides in Christ. Every of their effort boasts in a greater dimension a crushing success and yet bequests eternal legacy and privilege to their life. For with Jesus, we can do all things, but without Jesus, we can do nothing.

SCRIPTURE:  I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:5) ESV

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Without Christ, we might live for the moment, but with Him we live forever. Though many have argued that some people are making it in life without being in Christ. But the fact remains that there’s no way a person can succeed in life, and save his soul except he abides in Christ Jesus.

A story was told about a poor man in a certain city who had prayed to God to give him money and make him rich; but God didn’t answer his prayers. He was living in abject poverty and was miserable. So, one day out of frustration, he went to the Satan and asked him to give him money and make him rich. But the Satan demanded for his soul; in desperation for riches, he pledged his soul to him, and he gave him plenty of money, and he was rich yet at the loss of his soul.

So Beloved, don’t be too bothered about those that are making it, yet they are not in Christ, for they may be doing that at the detriment of their souls. Remember the Scripture says, “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? (Mark 8:36). Therefore, let’s continue to abide in Christ, for with Him we can do all things. Stay Lifted!

NOTE THIS: Without Christ, we might live for the moment, but with Him we live forever.

RESPONSIBILITY: Always seek to abide in Christ above every other thing.

PRAYER: O LORD JESUS, give me the grace to continue to abide in you, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)

PROPHETIC WORD: As you continue to abide in Christ, may His grace never depart from you, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
