WHOEVER YOU SERVE PAYS YOUR WAGES

TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org

DATE: MONDAY, 11 JULY 2022

A wage is something we work towards, something we actively pursue whether we realize it or not. When we go to work and expect to get paid for that work, we are earning our wages. And who pays our wages is who we work for. We can’t work in a different place and expect to get paid from another place.

SCRIPTURE: For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23 NIV)

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY:
So, the journey of life is a work. We are all directly or implicitly employed and are working for a purpose. But then whoever we work for pays our wages. When we work for God, God pays our wages, and when we work for sin and the devil, the devil pays our wages. However, for the wages of sin and the devil is death, but for wages of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus. We begin to work for the devil when we live in sin, and we begin to work for God when we declare with our mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the death… (Rom 10:9) and begin to live a holy life, and a life in the spirit.

Now, beloved, the big question is, WHO do you work for? Stay Refreshed!

NOTE THIS: Whoever you work for, is who you’re submissive and accountable to and it’s he that pays your wages.

RESPONSIBILITY: Your choice of service matters in this kingdom. Service to sin leads to death, while to Christ is eternal life. So, choose Jesus Christ today, work for Him and He will pay you handsomely.

PRAYER: O LORD JESUS, come into my life. I submit to serve you all the days of my life, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and pray for other intentions as the Spirit leads)

PROPHETIC WORD: As you chose to work for God, may He bless your food and water, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!

BIBLE TEXTS: Romans 6:23; 10:9
