TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: TUESDAY, 22 JUNE 2021
There are challenges in life that make even the most faithful and ardent Christian would ask “where God is?” There are storms that blow in our lives and rock us to our core, even when we are faithfully serving the Lord and giving Him our best. The worst part is that in times like this when we genuinely seek the face of God concerning the situation, it appears God is silent. It appears as though He has become unaware of what is happening. But Beloved, it is seasons like this that God is the closest to us.
SCRIPTURE: When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. (Isaiah 43:2) NLT
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: The Christian journey is not without bumps and bruises but we rejoice in the truth that we never walk alone.
A story is told of a young man who went to heaven and he was been showed the picture of his life. All his life he walked with Jesus, and he was so convinced about that with the presence of four footsteps as he walked. But he noticed that at a point, what was four footsteps had become two and so he said to Jesus, “this was the point you left me”. Jesus replied him no, this was the point I carried you because you gave up.
Beloved, don’t let the devil deceive you into believing that Jesus has left you or that you’re all alone in your struggle. Even though storms have a reputation of being so loud and intimidating that it almost seems to drown the voice of God. But our anchor Scripture guarantees us that no matter the size or ferociousness of the storm, no matter how loud and intimidating that storm gets, have confidence that God is right there with you. And when the storm is finally over, you will look back and see that He was there every of the way. Stay lifted.
NOTE THIS: The Christian journey is not without bumps and bruises but we rejoice in the truth that we never walk alone.
RESPONSIBILITY: Build up your faith and fill yourself up with scriptures so that when the storm comes, it cannot drown the living word of God in your heart.
PRAYER: O LORD, help me to know and believe that no matter the storm I face, you will never leave me nor forsake me, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD: May God be ever present in your time of troubles, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
