When God Says “Not Yet”
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Monday, 16 March 2026
Topic: The Blessings Hidden Inside Disappointment (2)
Focus: When God Says “Not Yet”
🔥Theme:
Disappointment is something everyone experiences. Plans fall apart, expectations collapse, prayers seem unanswered, and doors close unexpectedly. In those moments, it is easy to feel discouraged or confused. Yet Scripture shows that God often works powerfully through disappointment. What feels like loss today may be protection, preparation, or redirection for something better ahead. God sees beyond the moment we are facing and continues shaping our story with wisdom and care.
In this series, we will explore how God transforms disappointment into growth, guidance, and unexpected blessings. What feels like the end of something may actually be the beginning of something greater.
📖 Key Verse:
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him.” — Romans 8:28
Devotional:
One of the most difficult responses from God is not “no,” but “not yet.” Waiting can feel frustrating when our hearts are ready and our expectations are high. Sometimes we assume that if something has not happened yet, it never will. But God often works through timing. What we desire may be good, but God knows the right moment for it to unfold. A promise delivered too early can become a burden instead of a blessing. God prepares both the opportunity and the person who will carry it.
📖 Scripture Reading:
- Habakkuk 2:3 — The vision will come at the appointed time
- Ecclesiastes 3:11 — Everything beautiful in its time
- Isaiah 40:31 — Strength renewed while waiting
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
During seasons of waiting, He is shaping character, strengthening faith, and aligning circumstances. The delay may feel disappointing, but it is often part of God’s careful preparation. “Not yet” does not mean forgotten. It means God is still working. God’s timing prepares both the blessing and the person receiving it. Stay Refreshed!
✨ Note This:
⏳ “Not yet” from God often means “something better is coming.”
🛡️ Responsibility:
When impatience rises, remind yourself that God’s timing is intentional.
🙏 Prayer:
Father, help me trust Your timing when things take longer than I expected. Teach me patience and strengthen my faith as I wait for Your perfect moment. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
I trust God’s timing in my life. Every delay is preparing something greater for my future. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
