When Difficult Seasons Produce Strong Faith
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Saturday, 14 March 2026
Topic: Things God Uses That We Usually Hate (7)
Focus: When Difficult Seasons Produce Strong Faith
🔥Theme:
Many of the things we dislike most—waiting, failure, correction, uncertainty, even discomfort—are often the very tools God uses to shape our character and deepen our faith. God’s ways are not always comfortable, but they are always purposeful. In this series, we will explore the unexpected ways God uses difficult or unpleasant experiences to develop wisdom, humility, endurance, and trust. What we often resist may be exactly what God is using to prepare us.
📖 Key Verse:
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him.” — Romans 8:28
Devotional:
Difficult seasons are rarely welcome. When life becomes heavy or uncertain, our first desire is often for the season to end quickly. Yet many of the strongest faith stories in Scripture were formed during difficult times. Trials stretch our trust in God. They push us to rely on Him more deeply and to seek His wisdom more earnestly. What begins as hardship often becomes the place where faith grows stronger.
📖 Scripture Reading:
- James 1:2–4 — Trials produce maturity
- 1 Peter 1:6–7 — Faith refined by testing
- Romans 5:3–4 — Suffering produces perseverance
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Gold is refined by fire, and faith is strengthened through testing. Difficult seasons teach endurance, patience, and confidence in God’s faithfulness. The season may feel challenging, but it is not meaningless. God often uses the hardest seasons to produce the strongest faith. Stay Refreshed!
✨ Note This:
🔥 Faith grows strongest when it passes through testing.
🛡️ Responsibility:
Instead of resisting the season you are in, ask God what He is producing in you through it.
🙏 Prayer:
Father, when I face difficult seasons, help me trust Your purpose. Strengthen my faith and shape my character through every challenge I experience. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
God is strengthening my faith through every season. What I face today is shaping me for greater strength and purpose. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
