UNTIL YOU PASS THE TEST (2)
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: THURSDAY, 26 MAY 2022
Yesterday, we started by saying that there will be moments in our lives where God will use circumstances to develop our character, especially in the areas that we need to grow. And it is called “The Test”. We also said that passing these tests will help us mature and be prepared for what God has in our future. And then again, we saw various kinds and natures of the test. So, today we shall be x-raying in more details the reasons and why we are being tested.
SCRIPTURE: …And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. (1 Cor 10:13 NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Beloved, the tests will always come in a way you may never imagined. But whichever way they come, you must be ever ready to identify them, learn and pass them. In every test you would encounter in life, know it that God is developing you, He’s making sure you are matured enough for the great things He has in store for you in future. Recall that when David was tendering his father’s sheep in the wilderness, he was faced with the tests of protecting the lambs from the wild animals. The times the lions and the bears invaded the camp and took the lamb to devour, David chased down the lions and the bears, snatched the lamb from their mouths and killed them.
It was up in 1 Samuel 17, that it came to heart that God was preparing David and teaching him the act of fighting, and through those tests, he learned the masterclass skill he employed to kill Goliath. So, in every test, there is a purpose and a divine expectation for it— to grow you, mature you and get you ready for the next level of your destiny. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: Your pass mark determines your readiness into the next level.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, see every test as an opportunity to grow into your destiny.
PRAYER: O LORD, give me the grace to pass every test of life, and lead me into my destiny, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and pray for other intentions as the Spirit leads)
PROPHETIC WORD: Receive the grace to pass every test of life and finish strong, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
BIBLE TEXTS: 1 Corinthians 10:13, 1 Samuel 17
