UNDERSTANDING THE SEASONS OF PURPOSE (7)
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: SUNDAY, 3 DECEMBER 2023
So, beloved, as we continue our quest to understanding and navigating transitions between the seasons of purpose, we also need to do the needful—”prioritizing our well-being.” Prioritizing well-being is a fundamental aspect of leading a fulfilling and balanced life. Well-being encompasses physical, mental, emotional, and even spiritual health. It involves taking a holistic approach, considering all aspects of our health, and ensuring they are in balance. Little wonder, St. John the apostle admonished in 3 John 1:2; and he said,
SCRIPTURE: “Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.” – 3 John 1:2 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: So, we must recognize that a healthy body and mind contribute to overall well-being. This includes regular exercise, a balanced diet, sufficient sleep, prayer, and stress management. Establish clear boundaries to protect your well-being. Avoid overloading yourself with unrealistic demands that could lead to burnout. This involves knowing your limits and communicating them to others. Learn to say no when necessary and prioritize activities that align with your goals and values. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: Prioritizing well-being is not a luxury but a necessity for maintaining good mental, emotional and spiritual health.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, let’s learn to engage in activities that would nourish our souls, and enhance our overall well-being.
PRAYER: O LORD, help us to prioritize our well-being and keep us in good health, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: May we continue to enjoy good health, even as our soul is getting along well, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
BIBLE TEXTS: 3 John 1:2
