TRUSTING GOD’S TIMING (3)
TIMES OF REFRESHING DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: SUNDAY, 7 JULY 2024
So, God’s view of time is vastly different from ours. He sees the end from the beginning and orchestrates every detail of our lives according to His divine plan. It involves active waiting, praying, and seeking God’s will, and taking steps of faith. Little wonder, Isaiah 40:31 promises renewed strength for those who wait on the Lord.
SCRIPTURE: “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” — Isaiah 40:31 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: God’s delays are not His denials. The Bible is filled with stories of individuals who had to wait on God’s timing. Abraham and Sarah waited years for the promised son, Isaac. Joseph endured years of slavery and imprisonment before rising to power in Egypt. David was anointed king long before he actually took the throne. Each of these stories illustrates that God’s delays are not His denials. Instead, they are periods of preparation and growth. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: Prayer helps align our hearts with God’s will and strengthens our trust in His timing.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, beloved, seek God in Prayer. Make prayer a daily habit. Communicate your concerns, desires, and frustrations to God, and ask for His guidance and peace.
PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, we thank You for the promise that those who hope in You will renew their strength. We come before You, acknowledging our need for Your strength and guidance. Help us to place our hope and trust in You, especially in times of waiting and uncertainty. Renew our strength as we wait on You. Lift us up on wings like eagles, so we can soar above our challenges and see our lives from Your perspective. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
PROPHETIC WORD: May the Lord grant us the endurance to run the race set before us without growing weary and to walk our daily paths without fainting. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
