TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: MONDAY, 15 APRIL 2024
So, beloved, to hope in the Lord is to anchor our souls to the rock of salvation, to place our trust in His unfailing goodness and mercy. It is a conscious choice to surrender our fears and uncertainties, laying them at the feet of the One who holds the universe in His hands. Yes, the journey of hope is not without its trials. There are moments when the world seems to conspire against us, when challenges mount and obstacles tower high. Yet, amid it all, there is a reminder that our hope is not in vain, for it is rooted in the unchanging character of God.
SCRIPTURE: “Those who hope in Me will not be disappointed.” — Isaiah 49:23b (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Therefore, no storm can extinguish the flame of hope that burns within you, for it is fueled by the promise of a God who is faithful to His word. Even in the face of adversity, even when the odds seem stacked against you, you can stand firm in the knowledge that your hope is secure in the Lord. For He is our refuge and strength, a present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1), and He will never forsake those who put their trust in Him. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: There is a profound assurance offered to those who place their hope in the Lord. It is a promise that transcends circumstances, and a declaration of unwavering confidence in the faithfulness of our God.
RESPONSIBILITY: So let us hold fast to the anchor of hope, casting aside doubt and fear, knowing that no matter what lies ahead, we are secure in the promise that no one who hopes in God will ever be put to shame.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, grant us the courage to surrender our worries and anxieties at Your feet, knowing that You are the God who hears our prayers and answers according to Your perfect will. Strengthen our faith, Lord, that we may trust in Your goodness even when circumstances seem bleak. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
PROPHETIC WORD: In moments of doubt, fear, and worries, may the Lord help us to turn to Him, our Rock, and our Redeemer. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
