Beloved, while God’s amazing life guarantees the deepest satisfaction of our hearts, it’s also frequently linked to an eternal fulfilment. So, one sure secret to experiencing God’s amazing life is to delight yourself in the Lord. It is important to know that the world around us can only offer so much. Yes, some of what it offers may be good and pleasurable, but it will always be elusive and transitory. And can never be compared to the amazing life God offers. So, the Psalmist said in Psalm 37:4,
SCRIPTURE: Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. (Psalms 37:4 ESV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: However, you may ask, what does it mean to delight in the Lord? Delighting yourself in the Lord means finding great peace and fulfilment in God. And so, when you delight yourself in the Lord, just like the Scripture says, the Lord will give you the desires of your heart, even as you will experience in God’s incredible and amazing life in time and eternity. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: The deepest satisfaction of our hearts can never be found in the baubles of the worldly desire or its transient pleasure, but it’s found when we delight ourselves in the Lord.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, beloved, I wish you above all things, that you delight yourself in the Lord.
PRAYER: Oh Lord, give me the grace to always delight myself in You, in Jesus’ name, Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: As you delight yourself in the Lord, may God’s amazing life be yours now and always, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
