A story was told about a young boy in a plane that was nosing down to crash, and he was laughing and giggling all through. So, an old woman seated next to him asked him, “Are you not afraid the plane is about to crash?” The young boy raised up his head in excitement, and looked at the old woman and said to her, “No ma’am, I am not afraid one bit”. And the old woman became more inquisitive, and asked him again, “Why are you not afraid?” And the boy answered, “Because my father is the pilot, and he is in charge of the plane”
SCRIPTURE: Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The LORD, the LORD himself, is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation.” (Isaiah 12:2 NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Beloved, in your times of difficulty, just like the young boy, learn to stay in faith, trust in God and keep the right perspective. Know that God is in charge and in control of your life. He would never allow what is more than you to happen to you. And for Him to have allowed it, it’s for a purpose. It will move you into new levels. It’s just like the catapult, when you feel stretched, know that you’re in the position to be propelled. The more you get pulled back, the more you’re going to shoot forward. So, get ready for your breaking forth into a new season of your life. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: Difficulty does two things to a man. It shapes a man who stays in faith and keeps the right perspective and frustrates the ordinary man.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, don’t let difficulty make you throw away your faith and trust in God. If there’s any better time to express your faith in God, it’s in your times of difficulty.
PRAYER: O LORD, cause me never to lose my faith in times of difficulty. Give me the grace to trust You more, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and pray for other intentions as the Spirit leads)
PROPHETIC WORD: Receive the grace to overcome every difficulty in your life NOW, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
