THE SECRET TO GREATNESS

So often, we think that greatness is when we become all important to ourselves and to the people in the society. Getting accolades and being so respected and revered in the society. Hence, we could do all things and even become all things in our quest to be great. But we barely know that the top-notch secret to greatness and its expression is servanthood. Yes, this is all time true. And Jesus also affirmed it in the gospel of Mark 10:43-45; He says,
SCRIPTURE: Whoever desires to be great among you must be your servant, and whoever wishes to be most important and first in rank among you must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man came not to have service rendered to Him, but to serve (Mark 10:43-45 AMP).
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: In these verses, Jesus reveals that servanthood is what makes a person great, and that no one can become great without it! Now, the question is, who is a servant? A servant is one who lives to benefit other people—they sacrifice for people’s happiness and fulfillment. They have the interest of others at heart and put same first. They are not selfish, nor egotistical. They understood the watchword—sacrifice. So, beloved, I pray with you today, may the Lord help you and bring you to the place of servanthood, where comes the true greatness. And as you seek God and serve others, may God bless you immeasurably in Jesus’ name, Amen. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: Sacrifice is the only status symbol in the kingdom of God. It involves giving your all to humanity unreservedly.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, deliberately look for opportunities to serve others unconditionally and to let God bless others through you.
PRAYER: O LORD, give me the grace to serve others and also bless others through me, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and pray for other intentions as the Spirit leads)
PROPHETIC WORD: As you seek God and serve others, may God bless you immeasurably and cause you to be great, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
