THE REASON FOR THE SEASON
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: MONDAY, 26 DECEMBER 2022
Beloved, it’s a Christmas season. No doubt, Christ is the reason for the season. But just as it was established the recent past, Christmas is not just a day, it’s a lifestyle. We live to let Christ be born daily in our lives. However, it’s also a season of joy and lots of love in the air. When people share love and gifts with family, and friends alike. But then again, the best gift a person can receive in this season is the gift of Christ. It’s not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. (See Romans 14:17)
SCRIPTURE: For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, (Roman 14:17 NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: The moment you receive Christ as your Savior, you receive everything He is in your spirit. In and through Him, you are a joint heir of the Kingdom of God (Rom 8:17). And that’s the gift, and a very powerful one at that. All you need to do to enjoy the gift is, open your heart to God, accept Jesus Christ as your Savior today and you will receive it. So, what are you waiting for, go ahead and begin to unwrap the gifts of Christ in your life. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: The best gift a person can receive in this season is the gift of Christ. It’s not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, go ahead and accept the gift of Christ in your life now.
PRAYER: O LORD JESUS, I accept the gift of You in my life in this season of Christmas. Cause me never to lose sight on You again, in Jesus’ name, Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: As you have accepted the gift of Christ today in your life, may His love never depart from you and yours, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
