THE PROMISE OF THE MESSIAH (6)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Monday, 16 December 2024
Focus: The Eternal King
So, the prophets declared that the Messiah would reign as an eternal King, whose kingdom would never end. Jesus fulfilled this promise through His birth, life, death, and resurrection. Unlike earthly kings, His rule is marked by justice, righteousness, and love. Advent invites us to celebrate Jesus as our eternal King, who reigns in our hearts and will one day return to establish His perfect kingdom.
Scripture Reading:
Isaiah 9:6-7 – “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of His government and peace there will be no end.”
Refreshing for the Day:
Beloved, reflect on Jesus’ eternal kingship and what it means for your life. Thank Him for reigning in your heart and surrender any areas where you need to trust Him as King. Stay Refreshed!
Note This:
Jesus is not just a Savior; He is an eternal King whose reign is marked by justice and peace.
Responsibility:
In what ways can you allow Jesus to reign more fully in your life today? How can you live as a subject of His kingdom?
Prayer:
O Lord, thank You for being my eternal King. Reign in every part of my life, and help me to live in obedience to Your will. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
Prophetic Declaration:
I declare that Jesus is my eternal King, and His rule brings peace, justice, and righteousness into my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
