THE PROMISE OF THE MESSIAH (5)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Sunday, 15 December 2024
Focus: The Suffering Servant
So, Isaiah’s prophecy of the suffering servant paints a vivid picture of the Messiah who would bear the sins of the world. Jesus fulfilled this prophecy through His death on the cross, taking our punishment and bringing us peace. His suffering was not in vain; it was the fulfillment of God’s plan to save us. Advent is a time to remember that the promise of the Messiah includes both His birth and His sacrifice.
Scripture Reading:
Isaiah 53:5 – “But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed.”
