THE PROMISE OF THE MESSIAH (1)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Wednesday, 11 December 2024
Focus: The First Promise of Redemption
The promise of the Messiah begins in Genesis, right after humanity’s fall. When Adam and Eve sinned, God revealed His redemptive plan, promising that the seed of the woman would crush the serpent’s head. This first prophecy points directly to Jesus, the Redeemer who would come to defeat sin and death. God’s promise of redemption was never an afterthought; it was part of His eternal plan. Advent reminds us that God always keeps His promises.
Scripture Reading:
Genesis 3:15 – “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”
