We all want to make huge success in life; yes, that’s good, but it comes with a price. Just like every other high valued item would have a high cost attached to it, true success is so costly and demands a high price. But then, you will see some people seeking to be successful, but they are not willing to pay the price. It’s truly a joke. So, in this subject matter, we shall be looking at what price do we pay for success, in what ways do we pay them, and the consequences of not paying them.
SCRIPTURE: And observe what the LORD your God requires: Walk in obedience to Him, and keep His decrees and commands, His laws and regulations… Do this so that you may prosper in all you do and wherever you go, (1 Kings 2:3 NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: It’s true to say that going to the next level of life would always cost us something. And the higher we want to go, the heavier the cost. Recall in Genesis 12:1-2, God promised to bless Abraham in a greater way than ever before in his life. He said to him, “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you, and I will make your name great”. I can imagine Abraham was about to jump and celebrate the good news, and God intercepted, “but you would have to go from your country, your people and your father’s house to the land that I will show you”. We may begin to wonder, why would God make such a shocking demand from Abraham, but the answer is, there is always a price for every success.
God wanted to separate Abraham from distractions and plant him in His bigger plan. Similarly, to you beloved, God has a bigger plan for you in the future, as you seek to grab it, also prepare to pay the price. However, whatever price you pay to attain the plan of God in your life, would always justify it. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: We must always have to let go of something old to take hold of something new.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, as you’re sincerely asking God to do something new in your life, be ready to pay the price that comes with it.
PRAYER: O LORD, as You’re taking me to the next level of my life, give me the grace to pay the right price, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and pray for other intentions as the Spirit leads)
PROPHETIC WORD: As you learn to pay the price for success, may God bless you and make you a blessing to your generation, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
