THE ONE YOU FEED

A story was told about a grandfather who teaches his grandson an important life lesson. The grandfather tells his grandson that there is a battle going on inside all of us. It is a battle between two wolves that live inside us. He says, “My son, the battle is between two ‘wolves’ that live inside us all. One is evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, greed, arrogance, lies, pride and ego.
The other is good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.” The grandson thinks about it for a while and says, “Which wolf wins?”
The grandfather replies, “The one you feed”.
SCRIPTURE:
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good, (Romans 12:21) NIV
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY:
Good and evil eat from you. The success of your life and destiny depends on the one you feed.
There is this battle for supremacy between the evil and the good that exist in all of us, (Gal 5:16-23). But the one we feed and nurture, grows and overcloud us. However, God has given us the power to make great choices, (Deut. 30:19). The story of the wolves presents to us choices to make in life. And the choice we make, could make or mar our future and destiny. Evil is death and good is life.
Beloved, you don’t have the time to waste on evil. Your assignment on earth is too important. You are too valuable. Your destiny is so great. There is more to gain in doing good than to lose by entertaining evil. It pays to be good. Every good thing you desire, feed them and they will come to you. Stay Motivated!
NOTE THIS:

RESPONSIBILITY:
Be good to people and everyone around you.
PRAYER:
O LORD, give me the grace to live a good life and teach me to despise evil, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD:
Receive the grace to shun evil and its cohorts, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
