THE LORD WILL SUSTAIN YOU (3)
TIMES OF REFRESHING DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: MONDAY, 2 SEPTEMBER 2024
So, why should we trust God to sustain us? It’s because He has proven Himself faithful time and again. The Bible is filled with stories of God sustaining His people in the most challenging circumstances—whether it’s the Israelites in the wilderness, Daniel in the lion’s den, or Paul during his many trials. And if God sustained them, He will surely sustain us.
SCRIPTURE: “Even as you grow old, I will be the same. I will care for you as you age. I made you, and I will sustain you; I will carry you and rescue you.” — Isaiah 46:4 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: In our modern lives, we often rely on our own strength, our own resources, and our own understanding to get by. But eventually, we reach the end of ourselves. It’s in these moments that we must remember we were never meant to carry life’s burdens alone. God invites us to lean on Him, to trust in His unfailing love and faithfulness. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: God cares for your every need. The same God who created you is committed to sustaining you. He knows your needs before you do and has already made provision for them.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, beloved, today, whatever you’re facing—whether it’s a health issue, financial strain, relational difficulties, or just the everyday pressures of life—remember this: The Lord will sustain you. He is your ever-present help in times of trouble, and He will never let you be shaken.
PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your promise to sustain me. I cast my cares upon You today, trusting that You will uphold me with Your mighty hand. When I am weary, be my rest. Help me to trust in Your unfailing love and to lean on You in every season of life. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
PROPHETIC WORD: The God who created you will never abandon you. He will carry you through every trial, rescue you from every danger, and sustain you with His everlasting strength. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
