So, beloved, since transformation in Christ is not a one-off effort, it’s a journey that will continue throughout our lifetime. Hence, here are 5 practical steps for embracing transformation and living a higher life in Christ. The first is daily surrender. Each day, surrender yourself to Christ (Galatians 5:16). Acknowledge that you cannot transform yourself by your own efforts but need the Holy Spirit’s power. The second, renew your mind through the Word (Psalm 1:2-3). Spend time in God’s Word and allow it to transform your thinking. Romans 12:2 encourages us to “be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
SCRIPTURE: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Therefore, the third practical step for transformation is cultivating spiritual disciplines (1 Timothy 4:7-8). Engage in regular prayer, worship, and fellowship with other believers. These practices help to deepen our relationship with God and support our ongoing transformation. The fourth, always reflect Christ’s character. Strive to embody the fruits of the Spirit in your interactions with others. Let your transformed life be a testimony to the power of Christ. Then the fifth, be patient with yourself. Understand that transformation is a process. Be patient and give yourself grace as you grow. Trust that God is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6). Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: Transformation in Christ is a lifelong journey. Be patient with yourself and trust in God’s process. He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, embrace each step with faith, knowing that you are being continually shaped into the image of Christ. Keep your focus on Him and allow His love and grace to guide you every day.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank You for calling us to live a higher life, one that is rooted in Your love and guided by Your Spirit. We acknowledge that we cannot achieve this on our own. Renew our minds and transform our hearts. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
PROPHETIC WORD: As we come before the Lord with humble hearts, grateful for the incredible gift of transformation that He offers us through Jesus Christ, may we walk by the Spirit and not gratify the desires of the flesh. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
