THE DYNAMICS OF TRANSFORMATION: EMBRACING A HIGHER LIFE IN CHRIST (2)
TIMES OF REFRESHING DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: SUNDAY, 19 MAY 2024
The transformation in Christ is evident in the fruits we bear. Galatians 5:22-23 describes the fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. As we grow in our relationship with Christ, these qualities become increasingly evident in our lives. Our relationships improve, our outlook changes, and we begin to reflect the light of Christ to those around us.
SCRIPTURE: “And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.” — Ezekiel 36:26-27 (ESV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Our personal transformation has a ripple effect. As we are changed, we become agents of change in the world. Our testimony of what Christ has done in our lives can inspire others to seek the same transformation. Our actions, fueled by love and guided by the Holy Spirit, can bring healing and hope to a broken world. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: The power behind our transformation is the Holy Spirit. When we accept Christ, the Holy Spirit begins His work in us, renewing our minds and hearts. This transformation is not something we can achieve through our own efforts; it is a gift of grace.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, beloved, let us embrace this journey with hope and confidence, knowing that God’s transformative work in us is both intentional and purposeful.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank You for calling us to a higher life in Christ. Help us to set our minds on things above and live in a way that reflects our identity as Your children. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
PROPHETIC WORD: May the Lord empower us to fulfill our higher calling and to share His love with those around us. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
BIBLE TEXTS: Ezekiel 36:26-27, 2 Corinthians 5:17
