THE CRY FOR REVIVAL: BIRTHING A MOVE OF GOD (2)

Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional

Date: Thursday, 13 March 2025

Focus: The Price of Revival – Consecration

Message:

Revival doesn’t come by accident—it comes through hunger, sacrifice, and prayer. Every move of God in history was birthed by men and women who refused to settle for a lukewarm existence. This devotional series will ignite a hunger for revival in your life and stir you to cry out for God to move in your generation.

Key Verse:

📖 Habakkuk 3:2 – “Lord, I have heard of your fame… Renew them in our day!”

Revival is costly. Many people pray for revival but are not willing to pay the price. Revival requires consecration—a life fully surrendered to God. The disciples had to leave everything to follow Jesus (Matthew 4:19-20). John the Baptist lived a set-apart life to prepare the way for Christ (Luke 1:15-17). The early church fasted, prayed, and lived in total devotion (Acts 2:42-47).

Scripture Reading:

📖 2 Chronicles 7:14 – “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven.”

Refreshing for the Day:

Amongst what must be sacrificed for revival is “lukewarmness”—God is not moving in half-hearted believers. The next is “sin and compromise”—holiness precedes revival, and finally “time and convenience”—revival demands sacrifice! So, beloved, are you willing to be set apart for revival? What is God asking you to surrender? Let go of every weight that slows you down. Stay Refreshed!

Note This:

Revival is not just about power—it’s about purity.

Responsibility:

  1. Ask God to reveal any distractions or compromises in your life and remove them.
  2. Set aside time for fasting and deeper prayer this week.

Prayer:

Lord, I surrender my life completely to You. Purify my heart, remove distractions, and set me apart for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Prophetic Declaration:

I declare that I am consecrated for revival! My life is fully surrendered to Jesus! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Bible Texts:

Habakkuk 3:2, Psalm 42:1, 2 Chr 7:14
