STOP RUNNING AWAY FROM YOUR PURPOSE
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: TUESDAY, 12 JULY 2022
We would always want to fulfill the purpose of God and His callings upon our lives, but sometimes we ignorantly avoid the things we should be dealing with. We run away from our purpose. Purposes do not manifest by themselves; they need the custodian to make it happen. Again, the way of fulfilling our purpose doesn’t turn out in the manner we may like it; they occasionally appear uneasy. It could demand we get hurt and become uncomfortable in the process, and instead of confronting them, we run away from them. But the truth of the matter is, you can’t conquer what you don’t confront.
SCRIPTURE: So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together to fit into God’s perfect plan of bringing good into our lives, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose. (Romans 8:28 TPT)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Like it is said, ‘nothing good comes so easy’, beloved, your purpose in life is one of those good things that won’t come easy. It may be that people did you wrong, instead of forgiving them and move on, you hold on to it and stalk your progression in life. Or maybe you need to apologize and make things right, but you keep putting it off. Instead of confronting our fears, we shrink back. But I tell you, life is not supposed to be lived that way. You don’t keep running away from the things that you need to deal with. Dealing with those things helps you on the course to fulfilling your purpose. But as long as you continue running away from them, you’re going to miss the greatness God has for you. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: No matter how you see it, you can’t conquer what you don’t confront.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, get honest with yourself, begin to confront your fears, and stop running from your purpose.
PRAYER: O LORD, help my life. Give me the grace for boldness to do the right thing and stop running away from my purpose, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and pray for other intentions as the Spirit leads)
PROPHETIC WORD: Receive that boldness and confidence NOW, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
BIBLE TEXTS: Romans 8:28
