STEPPING INTO GOD’S PROMISES (1)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Sunday, 26 January 2025
Focus: Trusting God’s Promises
Message: The start of a new year is an opportunity to leave behind the past and step boldly into the promises of God. Just as the Israelites crossed the Jordan into the Promised Land, we too are called to trust God’s faithfulness and walk into the new things He has prepared for us.
The promises of God are sure and unchanging. As Joshua prepared to lead the Israelites into the Promised Land, God assured him of His faithfulness. The land was already promised—it only required obedience and trust to take possession of it. In the same way, God has promises for your life: peace, provision, purpose, and hope.
Entering into God’s promises begins with trusting His Word. Like the Israelites, you may face giants or obstacles that seem insurmountable. But God’s faithfulness does not depend on your strength—it depends on His power. The new year is an opportunity to trust Him fully, knowing He will fulfill His Word as you walk in obedience.
Scripture Reading:
Joshua 21:45 – “Not one of all the Lord’s good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.”
Refreshing for the Day:
So, beloved, take time to reflect on God’s promises in your life. Write down specific areas where you need to trust Him more deeply this year. Commit these areas to prayer, asking Him to strengthen your faith. Stay Refreshed!
Note This:
God’s promises are certain, but they require our trust and obedience to walk into them.
Responsibility:
What promises of God are you struggling to trust? How can you take a step of faith to rely on His Word today?
Prayer:
O Lord, thank You for Your faithful promises. Help me to trust You completely and to walk boldly into all that You have prepared for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
Prophetic Declaration:
I declare that God’s promises are true and unshaken, and I will walk in faith, trusting His Word to be fulfilled in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
Bible Texts:
Joshua 1:3; 21:45
