So, beloved, another dominant subject matter we must ponder when we’re talking about living a life of purpose is “staying committed to your mission.” It’s one thing for a person to discover his divine purpose on earth, and it’s another thing to stay committed to it. Staying committed to your purpose can be so challenging, notably in the face of adversity, distractions, and the ever-changing winds of life. The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 16:3 to commit whatever we do to the Lord, and in return, He promises to establish our plans.
SCRIPTURE: “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” – Proverbs 16:3 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: The above verse unveils a profound truth. Our commitment to our purpose is not a solo endeavor but a partnership with God. Commitment implies unwavering dedication, a promise to persevere despite challenges and setbacks. Just as a sailor commits to navigating stormy seas until reaching the desired shore, so we must commit to our purpose with unyielding efforts and determination. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: True commitment involves entrusting our plans, dreams, and purpose to the Lord. And in doing so, we invite God’s divine guidance and intervention.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, beloved, let’s ask God for the grace to stay committed to our purpose on earth.
PRAYER: O LORD, give us the grace to stay committed to our purpose on earth, even in the midst of distractions, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: As we stay committed to our purpose, may we find spiritual fulfilment in life, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
