STAY IN YOUR OWN LANE (4)
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: SATURDAY, 13 AUGUST 2022
The leading reasons why we have so many depressed people in the world today is because too many people have drifted from their lanes. People are not proud of who they are. They would compare themselves with somebody else and would always wish to be like them. They are skeptical of staying in their own lanes because they consider it so insignificant. But I wish they knew this, when a man is drifted from his lane frustration and depression is inevitable. He may have his reasons to, but none of them is justifiable enough for the wreck he’s causing to his life. No wonder Paul exclaimed in 1 Cor 7:7,
SCRIPTURE: I wish that all men were as I am. But each man has his own gift from God; one has this gift, another has that. (1 Corinthians 7:7 BSB)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: So, beloved, I tell you most solemnly, whatever reason that would make you to ignore your own lane and begin to run on someone else’s lane is the same reason why you’re wrecking your life. Be proud of who you are and stop comparing yourself with other people. Stay in your own lane. God always gives us grace for our lane (2 Cor 9:8). God shall supply all our need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Phil 4:19). And all these can only be possible when we stay in our own lane. So, I counsel you, don’t settle for being like somebody else, be the best version of yourself. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: When a man is drifted from his lane frustration and depression is inevitable.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, ask God for the grace to remain positive and thankful in your own lane.
PRAYER: O LORD, give me the grace to stay thankful in my own lane, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and pray for other intentions as the Spirit leads)
PROPHETIC WORD: As you continue to stay in your own lane, may God supply to you all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
