It’s easy to get side-tracked by things that pull you off course and you look up and the day is gone. Nothing will be more frustrating than to come to the end of life and realized you have lived a wasted life. We have a responsibility. God has entrusted you with His life. He breathed His breath into you, He’s put gifts and talents inside you. You have seeds of greatness.

You’re not just on planet earth taking up space. You’re a person of destiny, and with that gift of life comes a responsibility to develop your talents, to pursue your dreams, to make a mark, to be useful to your generations, to become who God’s created you to be, and on a regular basis, you need to re-evaluate what you’re doing, and refocus your life.

SCRIPTURE:

So I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing, (1 Corinthians 9:26) NLT

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY:

Responsibility begets focus.

Beloved, get rid of any distractions. Paul said in our anchor scripture, “I run with purpose in every step,”. This was a statement of a man who understood his purpose and responsibility, and he remained focused to the end. Just like Paul, we need to understand that we have responsibilities, we have gifts and talents God deposited in us, we need to understand that we are God’s masterpiece created for a purpose. Knowing this fact will help us to keep the right perspective and stay focused.

You realize every battle is not worth fighting. You don’t have time to get engaged in arguments that are worthless. You don’t have to be friend with every person. If you are in any and it’s not healthy, with all due respect, walk out of it. That’s a distraction!

For you to stay focused, you must be disciplined. I know too many people that are incredibly talented. They have great potential, but they’re not disciplined when it comes to how they spend their life. They have good intentions, but they’re easily distracted and they end up off course. May it never be your portion! Stay Refreshed!

RESPONSIBILITY:

Make this decision today that you’re going to be focused.

PRAYER:

O LORD, help my life. Give me the grace to be focused, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)

PROPHETIC WORD:

Receive the grace to stay focused in the course of your destiny fulfilment, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
