STAY COMMITTED TO YOUR DREAM

TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org

The recent past, it was established that no matter how tough a dream could be and the trouble it may pose to accomplish it, don’t walk away from it, choose to make it work. And we saw the account of Elisha in 2 Kings 2. Now let’s narrow it down to our own time as we see this true-life testimony.

SCRIPTURE: For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay. (Habakkuk 2:3) ESV

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: In 1960, a young man raised in a Catholic orphanage borrowed $900 and opened this small pizza place. Down the line in the business, he had all kinds of misfortune and too many bad breaks. A business partner stole several thousand dollars from his account. Eight years later, a fire burned down his building and everything is gone. But he had a dream that God placed in his heart, he didn’t give up on it, he stayed committed to it. So, he started all over again.

But this time he changed his strategy. Instead of people having to come get their pizza, he decided to take the pizza to the people. He came up with the first delivery service, he called it Domino’s. Today, there are over 10,000 Domino’s places all over the world. That young man is Tom Monaghan. A few years ago, he sold his company for a billion dollars.

So Beloved, my point is, when God put a dream in your heart; just like Tom, don’t let failures convince you to give up. Don’t let delays and bad breaks cause you to get discouraged and you quit. Stay committed to your dream until success is achieved. Stay Lifted!

NOTE THIS: Every dream encounters challenges, but when we stay committed to it, the dream succeeds while the challenges disappear.

RESPONSIBILITY: Do not let anything nor anyone, including yourself, talk you out of pursuing your dreams.

PRAYER: O LORD, give me the grace to stay committed to my dream, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)

PROPHETIC WORD: As you stay committed to your dream, may success never lack in your life, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!

BIBLE TEXTS: Hab 2:3
