STAND ON THE SHOULDERS OF GIANTS

There’s nothing we would do today that’s new in the world (Eccl 1:9). People have done the same thing or similar thing in the past. So, in our quest to fulfil our purpose and accomplish our goals in life, we need to consolidate in and merge our efforts with the efforts, insights, discoveries or previous achievements of the great minds who have come before us.

SCRIPTURE: You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others. (2 Tim 2:2) NLT

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Sincerely speaking, too many of the successful men and women we see around today and read about in the world, wouldn’t have tasted the crispy of success without the sacrifices and efforts of others. They are the products of collated ideas from mentors, technocrats, bosses and great leaders, whose sacrifices and selflessness to share their philosophies have shaped who they have become. Any wonder, Paul in our anchor Scripture wrote to Timothy admonishing him to instruct others the truth, he heard him taught, and they in turn will help to pass them on to others (2 Tim 2:2). And Sir Isaac Newton’s also said, “If I have seen further than others, it is by standing upon the shoulders of giants.”

So beloved, I tell you the truth, there is no such thing as a self-made man. No man is an island and no man knows everything. Each one of us knows bits and pieces of something. So, we need each other to succeed this pursuit and soar to new heights. Stay Refreshed!

RESPONSIBILITY: Discover great men who are in the same line of what you do and are ahead of you, and in all sincerity learn from them.

PRAYER: O LORD, in my pursuit to accomplish my dreams this year 2022, give me the grace to be humble and learn from the achievements of others ahead of me, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
