Some of the challenges we encounter in life that make us uncomfortable, unfortunately, had access into our life by our permission. It’s either we ignorantly created them, or we unwittingly allowed them. So, it is imperative we understand this fact and learn to set the right boundaries that would give us control of our life. See what the Bible says about this;
SCRIPTURE: I know your deeds; you are neither cold nor hot. How I wish you were one or the other! So because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to vomit you out of My mouth! (Revelation 3:15-16 BSB)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: If we can be honest to ourselves, we find that most of the things that bug us so much and take up most of our time do not worth it. It could be our sheer volume of work and personal life demands. We could be so busy day by day, year in- year out, yet not making any progress and not moving things forward. These things are only just excess luggage that keep derailing our sense of accomplishment and fulfillment. And if we don’t do something really quick about it, we may live to regret it. However, we must learn to set our boundaries right to communicate effectively what we want and what we don’t want in our lives.
But most certainly beloved, if you don’t set these boundaries clearly, you will end up with a lot of things in your life—that you did not invite, and certainly do not want. So, what are the steps in establishing these crucial boundaries? We will see to that tomorrow, but till then, Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: Anything that takes your time and resources, occupies a space in your position of priority but does not grow you, nor increase you is an excess luggage, you must cut it off.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, consciously identify them and set a clear a boundary to checkmate them.
PRAYER: O LORD, give me the grace to identify and cut off those excess luggage in my life that have been derailing my growth to the next level, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and pray for other intentions as the Spirit leads)
PROPHETIC WORD: May God help you to cut off whatever that does not grow you, nor increase you, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
