SERVING GOD WITHOUT RESERVATIONS (3)

TIMES OF REFRESHING DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org

DATE: SATURDAY, 20 JULY 2024

Again, consider the story of Esther. It was a powerful example of serving God without reservation. Esther, a young Jewish woman, was placed in a position of influence as queen during a time of great peril for her people. When Haman, a high-ranking official, plotted to annihilate the Jews, Esther was faced with a critical decision: remain silent and protect herself, or risk her life to save her people. However, she chose to put her life on the line, for her people. This was not a decision made lightly; it was a decision grounded in her trust in God’s sovereignty and her willingness to be used for God’s purposes.

SCRIPTURE: … Then Esther sent this reply to Mordecai: ‘Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my attendants will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish.'” (Esther 4:14-16, NIV)

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Esther’s story teaches us that serving God without reservation often requires great personal sacrifice and stepping into the unknown. It means recognizing the unique positions and opportunities God has given us and being willing to use them for His glory, even when it comes with significant risk. Stay Refreshed!

NOTE THIS: Esther’s rise to queen was not by chance; it was part of God’s divine plan. We each have a unique role and purpose designed by God, sometimes revealed in the most unexpected ways.

RESPONSIBILITY: So, beloved, reflect on the unique roles and opportunities God has placed in your life. Consider how you can use your influence, resources, and position to serve God and others, even if it means taking risks.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, we thank You for the example of Esther, who served You courageously without holding back. Help us to recognize the opportunities You place before us and to step out in faith, trusting in Your plan and purpose. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

PROPHETIC WORD: May the Lord give us the strength to act with boldness and the wisdom to know when He is calling us to stand up for His truth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

May the Lord give us the courage to step out in faith, trusting in His perfect plan for our lives. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
