SEEKING JESUS THROUGH THE RIGHT RELATIONSHIP

TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org

DATE: THURSDAY, 12 AUGUST 2021

It is said that the right association determines assimilation. Yes, it’s true and certainly so in this matter. The key to seeking Jesus and finding Him is making our personal relationship right with Him. Relationship with Christ is a major force for distinction in life. And it will be a gruesome error for one to think that he can exist without Christ and succeed in life.

SCRIPTURE: Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” (John 6:35) NIV

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Existence without Christ’s presence is a calamity. Beloved hear this, the greatest potential of man is produced and released in a right relationship with God. Man has no destiny aside Jesus, and all our efforts amount to nothing outside Him. Observe from our anchor Scripture that Jesus is inviting us; He wants to have a relationship with us. But the people were not acknowledging Jesus to be Lord. They sought Him through the wrong relationship: They sought for signs (6:30), they were comparing Jesus with Moses (6:31). They didn’t want to come to Him personally in faith to satisfy their spiritual hunger. They just wanted Jesus to be their free meal ticket (6:26).

Sadly, this is what most of us do; we only seek Jesus for signs and wonders. We seek Him when we are in need and lack, but we neglect to have a right relationship with Him. When we come to Jesus, believe in Him, and have a right relationship with Him; if we seek Him, we will find Him, and we will not hunger nor thirst again. Stay Lifted!

NOTE THIS: Existence without Christ’s presence is a calamity.

RESPONSIBILITY: Cry out to Jesus, ask Him to come into your life. And make a right relationship with Him.

PRAYER: O LORD, you’re my God, I’ve come to you today seeking for spiritual satisfaction. May I never go empty handed, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)

PROPHETIC WORD: As you seek Jesus through the right relationship, may you find satisfaction in Him, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!

BIBLE TEXTS: John 6:26-35.
