SEEKING A FRESH ENCOUNTER WITH GOD (2)

So, when we seek God, we do so with the expectation that He will not only reveal Himself to us but also change us, mold us, and empower us for His purposes. But then, how can we seek a fresh encounter with God? First is through intentional pursuit. To encounter God afresh, we must be intentional in our pursuit of Him. This means setting aside time to be alone with God, diving into His Word, and praying with expectation. It’s about making room in our busy lives for Him to speak and move.

SCRIPTURE: “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” — Jeremiah 29:13 (NIV)

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: To encounter God afresh, we must prioritize time with Him, just as we would with any important relationship. This might mean waking up earlier in the morning, setting aside a specific time during the day, or even creating a sacred space in our homes where we can retreat and be alone with God. Jesus modeled this for us throughout His ministry. Despite His busy schedule and the constant demands on His time, He often withdrew to solitary places to pray (Luke 5:16). This was not an afterthought but a crucial part of His relationship with the Father. In the same way, we need to carve out time in our daily lives to be alone with God, to listen, to speak, and to simply be in His presence. Stay Refreshed!

NOTE THIS: Intentional pursuit of God also means making room for Him amid our daily lives. It’s easy to get caught up in the busyness of life and neglect our relationship with God but encountering Him afresh requires us to re-prioritize our time and energy.

RESPONSIBILITY: So, beloved, just like Jesus, despite our busy schedule, let us be intentional about seeking afresh encounter daily with God.

PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, help us to be intentional in our pursuit of You. During our busy lives, give us the discipline to set aside time to be with You, to dive into Your Word, and to pray with expectation. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.

PROPHETIC WORD: May we seek the Lord with all our hearts, and in doing so, find the fresh, life-changing encounters we long for. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
