RESET THE COMPASS (2)

TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org

DATE: WEDNESDAY, 6 JULY 2022

Yesterday, it was said when we’re confused and don’t know what to do or where to go in life, we should stop and reset our compass through the Word of God. So, the big question now is, how then can we reset our compass through the Word of God? Beloved, I tell you every problem or challenge a person encounters in life has its solution in the Word (Heb. 4:12). But the real deal is the ability for one to search the scriptures for the solutions to his challenges.

SCRIPTURE: All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. (2 Tim 3:16 NLT)

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: In John 1:1-4, we are told that, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men”. This suggests that even before the problem, the solution exists. And Jesus is the solution and the answer to all our problems. So, this is how it works.

Since our purpose in life has its bearing anchored in the Word; per time on our course in life, we subject our plans to the Word of God and know what God is saying just about them. And whenever we’re going overboard, we can swiftly realize and realign our focus. By so doing we will not only eliminate every trace of confusion, but we will also consciously remain on course of purpose. Stay Refreshed!

NOTE THIS: Our compass of life always point to Jesus, and whenever it drifts away from Him, we must immediately reset it to its default.

RESPONSIBILITY: Be knowledgeable in the Word of God, study it day and night, so that it will teach you what’s right or wrong in life.

PRAYER: O LORD, teach me how to study Your Word. And open the eyes of my understanding to learn and obey accordingly what’s contained in It, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and pray for other intentions as the Spirit leads)

PROPHETIC WORD: May God help you and give you an understanding, even as you study His Word, in your times of need, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!

BIBLE TEXTS: 2 Tim 3:16, Psalms 119:105
