The truth of our mortality is a foundational aspect of our human experience, one that has been acknowledged throughout the ages. From the moment of our creation, we are formed from the dust of the earth, and to that same dust, we shall return. This biblical truth serves as a humbling reminder of our finite nature and the brevity of our earthly existence.
SCRIPTURE: “All go to one place. All are from the dust, and to dust all return.” — Ecclesiastes 3:20 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Reflecting on our mortality can evoke a range of emotions – from fear and apprehension to humility and awe. Yet, rather than leading us to despair, this reminder can serve as a catalyst for a deeper, more meaningful perspective on life. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: When we acknowledge our mortality, we are compelled to reevaluate our priorities and invest our time and energy in pursuits that have lasting significance.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, beloved, let us shift our focus from the temporal to the eternal, and from the transient to the enduring.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank You for the precious gift of life, and for the reminder of our mortality. Help us to live each day with a perspective that is grounded in Your eternal truth. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: May we use our time on the earth to honor God and advance His kingdom, knowing that our true home is in His presence for all eternity. In the name of Jesus’ Amen!
