REMEMBER THE PROMISES

The promises of God are the joy and consolation of the believers. It is our hope, comfort and solace. Even in our despondency, we find succor in the promises. When every other thing fails, the promises of God never fail.

SCRIPTURE: Most fully knowing, that whatsoever he has promised, he is able also to perform. (Romans 4:21) DRB

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: In the scripture, when Job was in the middle of pain and heartbreak, he had lost all that he had, it looked like he has seen his best days, and everything had gone wrong. But God said to him, “I will yet fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy” (Job 8:21). That was the promise.

Now recall, this was in chapter 8; things didn’t turn around until in chapter 42. But then he remembered what God promised: “He is going to fill my mouth with laughter”. Suddenly, his consolation came, hope appeared in him. Instead of lamenting and feeling sorry for himself, he built his trust around the promises. And God showed up, he came out with twice of what he had before.

So Beloved, in every situation or circumstance you found yourself; just like Job, keep remembering the promises of God, don’t give up on life, live in faith, sooner or later your trouble will turn out to double increase. Stay Lifted.

NOTE THIS: When every other thing fails, the promises of God never fail.

PRAYER: O LORD, give me the grace to always remember Your promises in my life, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)

PROPHETIC WORD: As you keep remembering His promises, may God fulfil and establish you and yours, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
