REACH OUT TO JESUS!
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: SUNDAY, 10 JULY 2022
Beloved, never allow the obstacles and the challenges of this life to keep you from reaching out to Jesus. The devil knows you are solidly dogged, unflagging, and ever indefatigable with Jesus, so the vagabond will always project challenges to obscure and limit your relationship with God. But, nevertheless, keep on making an effort to reach out to Jesus. For He says in Matthew 11:28,
SCRIPTURE: Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28 ESV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: The secret is when the enemy presents to us many reasons why we shouldn’t reach out to Jesus, it is ours to demonstrate apt intent why we should reach out to Him. We must learn from the life and character of Zacchaeus in Luke 19:1-9; Zacchaeus wanted to see Jesus and reach out to Him. He was a short man and could not see Jesus because of the crowd. So, he ran ahead of the crowd and climbed a sycamore tree to see Jesus, who was going to pass that way. The Scripture has it that, when Jesus came to that place, he looked up and said to Zacchaeus, “Hurry down, Zacchaeus, because I must stay in your house today.” Note that, Zacchaeus was so dogged to see Jesus, he didn’t allow his nature to limit him.
So, I counsel you, do not allow the obstacles and challenges of this life keep you from reaching out to Jesus. Make that strong decision today and it shall be well with you. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: When the enemy presents to you many reasons why you shouldn’t reach out to Jesus, ruggedly demonstrate apt intent why we should always reach out to the Lord.
RESPONSIBILITY: Once again, reach out to Jesus today. Ask Him to come into your life.
PRAYER: O LORD JESUS, come into my life, and make my heart your abode, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and pray for other intentions as the Spirit leads)
PROPHETIC WORD: As you reach out to Jesus today, may you find rest, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
