It doesn’t take much effort to start things, but the challenge is in the finishing. Anyone can have a dream, but it takes determination, perseverance, a made-up mind to see it come to pass. Any young woman can have a baby, but it takes a mother to really raise that child. Any man and woman can get married, but it takes commitment to stick with each other for the long haul. So, the big question is not how you start, but how you finish?
SCRIPTURE: Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith… (Hebrew 12:2) BSB
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Beloved, too many people start off great, but very few finish strong. They started very well, pulled up great dreams, rolled out incredible business plans, started off a promising relationship. But along the way they encountered setbacks, things stopped working the way they think, friends disappointed them, they get discouraged and eventually they would back down.
Unfortunately, this has been the story of too many young people in our society. But God is called the author and finisher… He gives the grace to start and the grace to finish well. Call upon Him, present your dreams to Him, trust your business in His care, be confident in yourself, shake off every disappointment, forget what people are saying concerning you, and surge forward until you finish well. Stay Lifted!
