The decisions we make don’t just affect our lives; they affect generations to come. The way you live can make it easier on others, your children and grandchildren, or it can make it more difficult. You can be a stepping stone for them to do greater things, or stumbling block that holds them back. No person lives and dies unto himself.
The favor and blessing you’re walking in today didn’t just happen because of you, somebody went before you that sowed seeds so you could be blessed. In the same way, what you sow now could reward another in the future.
SCRIPTURE: Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. (Colossians 3:23-24) ESV
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: The favor and the right thing you do can set your family and generation on a new course.
Beloved, God is keeping an account of every good thing we do: the times we forgive when we could stay bitter, the times we help people, the times we do the right thing when nobody’s giving us credit. Those times are not overlooked, it’s accruing favor in your account, and it’s passed down to your children and to many generations.
So, when you make decisions that honor God, when you are generous, when you’re faithful, your life is not only going to be more rewarding, more fulfilling, but that favor is being credited to others, to your children, grandchildren and to future generations. Stay Refreshed!
