Again, beloved, if we must learn the art of numbering our days, we must be intentional about it. It means understanding the brevity of time and making conscious decision to approach each day purposefully. And seizing each moment with gratitude and determination, with the understanding that life is fleeting. Rather than letting life happen to us, we actively shape our days with acts of love, kindness, and service. Any wonder, the Psalmist cried in chapter 39:4-5; he said,
Bottom of FormSCRIPTURE: “Show me, Lord, my life’s end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting my life is. You have made my days a mere handbreadth; the span of my years is as nothing before you. Everyone is but a breath, even those who seem secure.” (Psalm 39:4-5 NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Living with intention means being fully present in each moment, embracing the opportunities it holds. This intentionality not only brings us joy but also reflects our heart’s alignment with God’s will. It involves making deliberate choices that align with our values and goals. Making choices that ripple through time and cultivating a life rich in meaning and fulfillment. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: When we live with intention, we take goal-oriented actions. We set clear goals and take purposeful steps to achieve them, thereby, turning our aspirations into realities.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, we must seek to understand these rare realities of life and refocus our mind to grasp them, even as we ask God for the grace to live purposefully.
PRAYER: Oh LORD, give us the grace to understand the brevity and the fleeting nature of life and to live with that consciousness in our lives, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: As we learn to be intentional about life, may we be heavenly minded, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
