OH LORD, HELP MY LIFE (5)
TIMES OF REFRESHING DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: SATURDAY, 3 AUGUST 2024
God’s help is not limited to a select few; it is extended to anyone who approaches Him with humility, faith, and a genuine desire for His presence and guidance in their lives. To the needy, the poor and him who has no helper; the Lord will deliver them when they call on Him (Psalm 72:12). To the Humble and Contrite, the weary and burdened, God will never despise nor abandon. For the Lord says in Isaiah 57:15,
SCRIPTURE: ‘I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite.” – Isaiah 57:15 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: And in Matthew 11:28-30, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: When we come before God with genuine desire and complete devotion, He assures us that we will find Him.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, beloved, do not be discouraged if you don’t immediately feel God’s presence. Continue to seek Him with perseverance and faith, trusting that He is faithful to His promise.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I come before You today with a heart that longs to know You more deeply. Your Word promises that I will find You when I seek You with all my heart. Help me, Lord, to pursue You with sincerity and dedication. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
PROPHETIC WORD: May the Lord help us and remove any barriers or distractions that keep us from fully experiencing His presence; purify our hearts and renew our spirit, so that our desire for Him grows stronger each day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
