O LORD, STRENGTHEN ME IN THE INNER MAN

Beloved, we need fresh supplies of strength to enable us to exercise grace, to perform our spiritual duties, to resist the enemy and his temptations, to bear the cross, to undergo afflictions cheerfully, and to hold on and out to the end. And we can only receive such fresh supplies of strength from the Lord, who is our strength and salvation (Ps 118:14); through the Holy Spirit who strengthens us by leading us to the fullness of grace and strength in Christ Jesus. Any wonder apostle Paul wrote to the people of Ephesians, and he said to them,

SCRIPTURE: I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, (Eph 3:16 NIV)

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: The truth is, until our inner man is strengthened, we may never fulfil any of the spiritual obligations and responsibilities in our lives. So, as serious as this matter is, this should be our sincere cry to God, that the Lord shall strengthen our inner man or our spirit man. Stay Refreshed!

NOTE THIS: When the Lord strengthens our inner man, it causes us to abide in grace and go from strength to strength.

RESPONSIBILITY: So, go to God in prayer, ask Him to strengthen your inner man.

PRAYER: O LORD, strengthen me in the inner man, and cause me to go from strength to strength, in Jesus’ name, Amen! (Go ahead and pray for other intentions as the Spirit leads)

PROPHETIC WORD: As the Lord strengthens your inner man, may you receive the freshest supplies from the Holy Spirit to defeat the enemy and his temptations, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
