Consequently, another sure way we can surrender our self-reliance and place our hope in God is to yield control of our lives to God (Rom 6:13). Our cry for salvation from ourselves requires us to relinquish control and trust in God’s guidance. It is an acknowledgment that our own efforts and willpower are insufficient to overcome the deep-seated struggles within us. As we surrender our lives to God, we invite Him to work in us and through us, aligning our desires with His perfect plan.
SCRIPTURE: “Rescue me from my enemies, Lord, for I hide myself in you. Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.” (Psalm 143:9-10 NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Sometimes, we find ourselves entangled in self-destructive behaviors, such as addiction, pride, envy, or unhealthy relationships. These patterns can lead us down a path of pain, despair, and separation from God. But when we humbly seek the Lord’s intervention, we open ourselves up to His transformative power and healing. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: As we surrender our lives to God, we invite Him to work in us and through us, aligning our desires with His perfect plan.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, beloved, surrender your self-reliance and trust in God’s provision and guidance. Recognize that only through Him can true transformation occur. Yield your will to His, seeking His wisdom and direction in every aspect of your life.
PRAYER: Gracious Lord, I come before You with a humble heart, acknowledging my weaknesses. Save me from the destructive patterns and tendencies that hinder my spiritual growth. I yield to Your will, knowing that Your ways are higher, and Your plans are perfect., in Jesus’ name, Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: I declare that as you surrender control of your life to God, may the Lord transform you from the inside out. And make you become more like Him, reflecting His character, and walking in His divine plan, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
