Yet again, if we sincerely want God to transform and shape us to be like Him, we must commit to a life of following Jesus Christ. Committing to a life of following Jesus Christ is a profound decision that transforms every aspect of our existence. It involves embracing His teachings, modeling our lives after His example, and surrendering our will to His divine plan. It is an intentional choice to center our lives around Him, allowing His love and truth to guide our thoughts, actions, and relationships.
SCRIPTURE: “Then He said to them all: ‘Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.” Luke 9:23 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Committing to a life of following Jesus Christ is more than a one-time decision. It is a daily surrender, a continuous journey of faith and obedience. It is a transformative decision. It requires us to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and walk in His footsteps (Matt 16:24). In doing so, we discover a life of purpose, joy, and eternal significance. Stay Refreshed and welcome to July!
NOTE THIS: Becoming like Christ is a continuous process that requires commitment, perseverance, and reliance on God’s grace. Trust in His transforming power and take these steps with a heart willing to be molded and shaped by Him.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, beloved, consciously decide to commit to a life of following Jesus, taking up His cross and walk His footsteps.
PRAYER: O LORD, help my life. Give me the grace to commit to a life of following Jesus all the days of my life, in Jesus’ name, Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: As you make intentional efforts to follow Jesus today, may He transform you and cause you to discover a life of purpose, joy and eternal significance, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
