So, beloved, it’s one thing to experience the joy of the Lord and it’s another to grow and nurture this joy in our lives. Couple of days ago, we explored ways to activate the joy of the Lord in our lives, and in this new series we shall be looking at the importance of nurturing this joy and the practical ways to do so. The joy of the Lord flourishes in the presence of God. Therefore, the first way to nurture this joy is to remain connected with God. Any wonder, the Psalmist declared,

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Nurturing the joy of the Lord is like a garden, as the gardener tends to their plants, we must tend to our hearts by deepening our connection with God. It involves spending time in God’s presence through prayer, worship, and studying the Word. As we commune with God, He reveals the path of life, and in His presence, we find lasting joy. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: Just as plants need sunlight to grow, our joy needs the light of God’s presence to flourish.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, let’s take a moment to reflect on our current connection with God. Are there any areas where we can deepen our relationship with Him to nurture the joy in our hearts?
PRAYER: Oh LORD, help us to connect to You. And through prayers, worship, and the study of the Word, cause us to deepen our relationship with You, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: As we connect to God in prayers, worship, and the study of His Word, may our joy grow and be nurtured, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
