NOTHING HAPPENS BY CHANCE

TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org

DATE: THURSDAY, 10 MARCH 2022

Beloved, I want to share with you about “nothing in this world happens by chance”. Most times, things we don’t understand happen to us; we go through difficulties in life, and it’s easy to get discouraged and ask, “why is this happening to me”. But the truth of the matter is, nothing happens by chance. God uses difficulties to move us into our destinies. That trouble you got into may be unbearable, you may not understand it, but God wouldn’t have allowed it in your life if it’s not going to work to your advantage.

SCRIPTURE: I have seen something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all. (Eccl 9:11) NIV

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Beloved, there are certain doors in your life that must be closed for the great door that would give access to your breakthrough to open. So, when it’s closed, it poses a trouble for you. You may think you are going backward, but God is setting you up for a better thing. A very practical and functional example is found in Exodus 2, Pharoah had given the order to all his people to throw every newborn Hebrew boy into the Nile river, and let the girls live. So, at that time, the boy Moses was born, and his mother put him in the basket and hid him among the reeds along the bank of the river Nile.

People would have thought that the boy’s own had finished, maybe he would be killed by a wild animal while at the river bank, but God knows what He’s doing. He was moving Moses into his destiny. He knew Moses would be a great leader of Israel and would deliver his people from the hands of the Egyptians. So, God had to take him there to learn the craft of leadership under the guise of the King. So, you see, the king orders didn’t happen by chance. Though it was tough decision Jochebed took, and it wasn’t easy for the boy, but the trouble was developing something in him about his future. We will continue tomorrow, but till then, Stay Refreshed!

NOTE THIS: Whatever situation you are in, know it that you didn’t get into it by a chance, if God would allow it, it’s for a purpose.

RESPONSIBILITY: So, don’t let your situation, determine your destiny.

PRAYER: O LORD, turn my troubles into joy, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)

PROPHETIC WORD: I pray for you, all your troubles are over forever, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!

BIBLE TEXTS: Eccl 9:11, Ex 2:1-10
