NO MORE DRY ALTARS: REKINDLING THE FIRE OF PRAYER AND WORSHIP (4)

Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional

Date: Saturday, 19 April 2025

Focus: The Fire of Consistency

Message:

Many altars have grown cold, but God is calling us to repair and relight them. This series awakens fresh hunger and daily devotion.

Key Verse:

📖 1 Kings 18:30 – “Elijah repaired the altar of the Lord that had been torn down.”

Devotional:

Starting a fire is powerful—but keeping it burning is where real revival lives. In Leviticus 6:12–13, God commanded the priests: “The fire on the altar must be kept burning; it must not go out.” It wasn’t enough for the fire to fall once—they had to tend it daily. This is the secret to sustained revival: consistent devotion. Not just Sunday flames. Not just conference highs. Not just emotional sparks. But daily, intentional fire-tending. Praying when you don’t feel like it. Worshiping when distractions pull you. Seeking when it’s costly.

đź“– Scripture Reading:

Leviticus 6:12–13 – “The fire on the altar must be kept burning; it must not go out. Every morning the priest is to add firewood…”
Galatians 6:9 – “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

đź’§ Refreshing for the Day:

Consistency turns flickers into furnaces. God is looking for people who will tend the fire every day, not just light it once and forget it. So, beloved, ask yourself today: “Am I managing my fire or neglecting it?” Don’t wait for feelings—feed the flame intentionally. Fire thrives on fuel. Feed your altar with Word, worship, and prayer. Stay Refreshed!

✨ Note This:

Emotion ignites. Consistency sustains.

🛡️ Responsibility:

  1. Set a fixed, non-negotiable time for prayer and worship every day this week. Even 10 minutes matters.
  2. Guard it like your life depends on it—because your spiritual fire does.

🙏 Prayer:

Lord, make me faithful. Teach me to tend the fire daily, not occasionally. Give me discipline fueled by delight—not duty. Let my altar burn brighter each day I seek You. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

🔥 Prophetic Declaration:

I am a keeper of the fire! My altar will not grow cold. Every day, I burn brighter. Every day, I grow stronger. I will not be a flicker—I am a furnace for God’s glory! Amen!

1 Kings 18:30, Leviticus 6:12-13, Galatians 6:9
